Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago West - St Charles by IHG

An obviously recently renovated Holiday Inn Express. The service was very nice here especially at checkin. Rooms were good but cleanliness was just ok. Good location if you need to be in the area. A good choice assuming you get a decent rate.

We checked in fairly late, around 2am. The night auditor was quick to get us checked in, no issues there. This property does charge a $100 security deposit which is refundable upon checkout. We got to the room, nothing fancy. We typically stay at hotels like Embassy Suites, but there weren’t many other options here in St Charles. There were some cleanliness issues, with hair in the toilet, and the building itself felt a little run down. We went down to the gift shop after we checked in, grabbed 2 drinks, 2 bags of chips, and a thing of laundry detergent and some dryer sheets for $14.00. Not bad gift shop pricing compared to other hotels I’ve seen. We used the guest laundry, which went well. No issues aside from the washing machine needing wiped out before use. The floors creaked and groaned, and I could hear the guests in the room above us all night, which is the reason why I dropped a star. The breakfast was okay, but not great. I’m just glad hotels are offering breakfast now that Covid is mostly gone. The attendant during check-out was extremely nice and helpful. Overall a decent stay. We stayed at the Hotel Baker for our second night in St Charles, and overall we actually preferred the Holiday Inn.

I have always preferred to choose to stay in Holiday Inn whenever I’m visiting different states due to my official work and this time too I stayed in Holiday Inn in Saint Charles and had a wonderful experience. The staff member were friendly and welcoming, and they went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I appreciated the little touches like the complimentary water bottles and toiletries. The hotel's amenities were also top-notch. Clean water on pool and it was well-maintained and provided a great way to relax. Overall, I would highly recommend Holiday Inn, Chicago in Saint Charles to anyone looking for a comfortable, luxurious stay in this area. The staff, amenities, and overall experience were all exceptional, and very hospitable.

The Hotel is nice. The rooms are clean and the cost is reasonable.

The breakfast was delicious! Honestly one of the best breakfasts we’ve had at a hotel in awhile! Bonus points for having turkey sausage!! The beds were very comfortable and the staff was super friendly! Will definitely return to this hotel when we’re in the area!

A very nice room with king bed and a separate living room. The only thing I was disappointed in was no coffee table or end tables. just a couch and tv with a table underneath. It really needs a small coffee table to make the room functional in anyway. Decent continental breakfast and VERY nice staff. could use a TV guide if some sort to know what the chanel offering and identification is. Overall good experience and I will stay here again next time I'm in the area. The pool was refreshing. Lots of local food and shopping.

This hotel experience was A+ all the way - the reception staff when checking in (and checking out) was genuinely very kind, welcoming, and appreciative. The beds are so soft and the pillows are amazing! The free breakfast had so many choices and even had gluten-free options for those of us with sensitivities - very impressed! Will definitely make this my "go-to" hotel whenever I am in the area or when just passing through. Highly recommend - everything is top quality!

We had a wonderful two night stay here! The rooms were tidy, modern, and the staff were all friendly. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone. Thank you!
